My First Post
Ah, my first attempt into the cyber world of blogging. Not really sure who wants to read my ideas? Don't really care. As I say in my life I share and if you happen to be entertained by my ideas/thoughts than you have great taste.
Up all night with a boy with a fever. Never in all my years of life did I think the number on the thermometer would mean so much. But for him it does-too high and it could mean a seizure and a trip to the ER. Trust me, we did that once, and I don't plan on doing that EVER again. So, I woke up to Mr. 105 and freaked out. Medicine, cold rags, cold drinks, cold patch on the head-non if it worked!
Think, think, think, what would work. Oh yes a cool bath. Picture this, 3:30 in the morning getting a cool bath ready while freaking the f*** out! Anyhow, I got the water ready, got the boy in the water he stars to cool and all of a sudden he looks at me and says "I popped." I look in the water-not only did he pop he also released! So, out of the tub, into the diaper and mom is cleaning and scrubbing the tub at the wonderful hour of 3:45 am!
At least the boy was cooled down, Right? Wrong, still at 105! The alien fever could just not be stopped! So, into a cold shower, for 30 minutes and we got down to 100. A huge success!
Back to bed. Another 30 minutes for the G-Man (the boy) to fall asleep. Another 30 (or so) for me to fall asleep (as I kept frantically touching him to make sure he wasn't MR. 105 again). So the way I figured it I fell asleep somewhere around 5:30 and the boy wakes me up at 7:00 (perfectly cool Mr. 97) and is ready to go and leaving me wondering how 4 short hours ago he was hotter than the hottest day in Florida and now he's cool as a cucumber, acting like nothing was wrong. Leaving me asking what the f***?
